Tectona gransis

Tectona Grandis, commonly known as Teak, is a tropical hardwood tree revered for its exceptional durability, aesthetic appeal, and versatility in various applications. Native to Southeast Asia, particularly in countries like India, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia, Teak is one of the most sought-after timbers globally. This majestic tree can grow up to 30-40 meters in height and is characterized by its broad, glossy leaves and sturdy branches.

Key Features:

Foliage: Teak leaves are large, ovate, and bright green, providing a lush canopy that offers excellent shade. The leaves have a distinctive coarse texture and are known for their ability to resist pests and diseases.

Flowers: The tree produces small, fragrant white to yellow flowers that bloom in clusters. These flowers attract pollinators and contribute to the biodiversity of the area.

Timber: Teak wood is highly prized for its rich golden-brown color, beautiful grain, and natural oils, which provide remarkable resistance to moisture, decay, and insect attacks. This durability makes it ideal for outdoor furniture, boat building, and flooring.
